Just what is Va Va Voom, the now famous phrase from the Renault Clio TV adverts? Whilst many have tried to define it – even the Oxford English dictionary came up with a definition – everyone knows the positive feeling that is Va Va Voom, including 40,000 New Clio III car buyers last year.

Now Clio's Va Va Voom has been reinforced even further with the creation of Clio Rip Curl, a special edition designed in conjunction with the world renowned surfboard and activity clothing specialist, Rip Curl.

Clio Rip Curl is targeting the younger, lower priced end of the market with a dynamic, well-equipped car that is economical to run. Available in three and five-door versions, with two engine choices, the 1.2 16V 75 and the 1.5 dCi 68, the petrol three-door is priced at £9,595 whilst the five-door is £10,265. The diesel three-door is £10,595 with the five-door priced at £11,265.

The new Clio Rip Curl is based on the best-selling Dynamique trim so it already benefits from a stylish and sporty exterior. Rip Curl has also added its own trademark styling to the Clio to produce a special edition with new features such as the ocean inspired the body colour of Ice Blue.

The Clio Rip Curl is well-suited to younger drivers with music, style and fun at the top of its design agenda. A 2x15W radio CD MP3 compatible player with two speakers, two tweeters and fingertip remote controls with multi-function TunePoint is a standard feature. The TunePoint's anchorage connection point is concealed in the glove box and allows MP3 players such as iPods to be plugged in.

Stylish interior and exterior features including specific Rip Curl graphics on the tailgate, side mouldings, door sills, inserts on the dashboard, centre console and upholstery with Rip Curl tag on the front headrest are unique to the Clio Rip Curl and ensure that the fashion conscious Clio drivers stand out from the crowd for all the right reasons.

The Clio Rip Curl is also 95% recyclable by weight which further demonstrates Renault's shared environmental concerns with Rip Curl.

Clio Rip Curl is the first Clio trim to feature the metallic body colour of Ice Blue. There are seven colours to choose from, one non-metallic (Pacific Blue) and six metallic (Ice Blue, Eclipse, Mercury, Pearl Black, Flame Red and Tempest).
